Mobile Technology Support
We make a wide range of equipment available on a first-come, first serve basis for classroom instructional use as well as for
other academic support activities. Requests for equipment placed before 2 p.m. can be delivered the following working day.
Equipment requests for non instructional use may be subject to charge. Equipment may not be used off campus. For help with
classroom equipment emergencies, call 317-274-8400.

Technology Equipment Order / Check-Out Form
You will need the following Information when Completing the Order Form:
- Network ID
- Name and department
- Phone number
- Course and section number
- Specific equipment
- Where equipment will be used
- Use date
- Beginning and end times
Confirmation: You should receive an email confirmation of your request. Please check the use dates and equipment and
notify us of any discrepancies with your original request.
Delivery: Instructional equipment will be delivered and set-up in the classroom by the "start time" of class. Class start
time is defined as scheduled by the Registrar and as it appears in the Semester Course Catalog.
Scheduling Changes: It is the user's responsibility to report any change in time(s) or location(s) for a
confirmed usage or of any class cancellations.
- VHS/USB Camera Record
The VHS Record Unit consists of a cart-mounted video camera with a VHS record deck and video monitor and a USB video transfer unit. It is used to video speeches and presentations in the classroom. VHS tape and USB flash drive (minimum 2GB) are provided by user. Note: U3 USB flash drives are not supported.
- VHS/DVD Player
The 1/2" Video Tape Player Unit plays back the standard VHS format videocassette. The DVD Player plays back digital video and
audio information stored on Region 1 DVDs.
- CD Player
The CD player unit is for playing back compact discs.
A microphone is used for sound reinforcement and/or audio recording in the classroom.
- Classroom PA
The Small P.A. System is used for addressing a group of people when additional voice reinforcement is needed in the classroom.
It consists of a portable unit with either a stand-mounted microphone or a microphone worn around the neck, built-in amplifier
- 35mm Slide Projector
The 35mm Slide Projector is used to project images on a screen from 35mm slides.
- Overhead Projector
The overhead projector is used to project transparencies and instructor notes onto a projection screen. Classroom Technology
Services has placed overheads in all IUPUI general inventory classrooms.
- Windows w/Display
The Windows computer is used for applications, presentations, and documents that require the Microsoft Windows operating system.

- Macintosh w/Display
The Macintosh computer is used for applications, presentations, and documents that require the Apple/Macintosh operating system.

- On-site Technician
There is an additional charge for a dedicated technician to operate classroom equipment or to support certain events. Currently
the rate is $35 an hour. Classroom Technology Services requests at least a week's prior notice when requesting a dedicated
