Welcome to the IUPUI triple board website.  I am the chief for the 2007-2008 academic years.  Hopefully if you’ve found our site you’re already considering triple board.  I have really enjoyed my decision to pursue a triple board education.  This program really gives you the ability to look at the whole child.  I feel comfortable treating Pediatric medical conditions and diagnosing and treating psychiatric illnesses.  This can become important when entertaining a differential diagnosis. We often have to rule out complicated Endocrine and Metabolic disorders which frequently have psychiatric sequelae.  There seems to always be a growing list of medical disorders that can cause or present with co-morbid psychiatric illnesses.

              I am also very glad I decided on Indianapolis.  Indy is a great city.  It has both an urban and rural flavor.  We have multiple clinical sites.  We have the opportunity to work in a private hospital setting, a county hospital and a community setting. We see a clinically and ethnically diverse patient population.  Our faculty and staff are top notch.

              Living in Indianapolis is quite affordable.  You can get an apartment or town house in our beautiful downtown or you can get a home in the Indy “burbs”, which have top notch public school systems.  The entertainment scene is great.  The night life is hopping in Broad Ripple.  We have 3 major sports native to Indy.  We have the Colts and NFL football.  We have the Pacers for the NBA action and we have the Speedway for NASCAR.  On top of that we have triple A baseball (The Indians).  We have several outdoor and indoor concert venues.  We have museums, 2 IMAX theatres and a large Fairground.  What more could you want?  Thanks for considering IUPUI.  Hope to see you around.
